THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN

I never thought of traveling outside of Chile until now, but if I had to say which country I am most interested to know would be Japan. It’s not just for anime or manga (is a small factor), I want to know their culture, traditions and beliefs.

There are many places and things that I want to do there, but I will only mention 3: the Zao Fox Village, the Fushimi Inari shrine, and Seibu Dome. I'm don't hae clear how long I'll stay or plan my trips since there are 3 differents cities.

The Zaō Fox Village is located in Shiroishi (Miyagi prefecture). A natural sanctuary where hundreds of foxes of different species live, they walk freely through the forest interacting with visitors, they can be pet and fed (in specific places). I love foxes and just imagining interacting with them in a friendly way melts my heart. Although from what I read, it is difficult to get directly to the village, in addition to taking a train and a bus, you must go by car or walking until you reach the sanctuary.

 

 

 

The second place is the Fushimi Irani Shrine, located in southwestern of Kyoto. It is the most important shrine in Japan dedicated to the goddess Inari, goddess of rice and wealth. I want to walk through the “Thousand Torii gates” and make a prayer at the top of Mount Inari, in the Okasho Hohaisho (prayer hall), maybe Inari-sama will give me luck and make me rich XD. Interestingly, inari has fox messengers, and there are statues of them at the entrance to the main shrine.

 

Finally, go to a concert in Seibu Dome! For 5 years I have been a fan of a Japanese singer named Mafumafu, I have never been able to go or see his concerts, sadly this year the Dome was cancel because of the pandemic (he got depressed quite a bit about it), but he will do an international concert in online format. I already have my ticket and I still can't believe it!!!!, maybe at last I can see his face  :’D (he always covers his face in his videos and photos with a mask).

 

I feel that this blog was long and focused a lot on foxes (they are very cute), so I will close this post with my favorite Mafumafu song, maybe makes your day happy ~. Ironically, he was using a fox mask.
